Bergere de France Poncho
Beginning January 1st, 2014, we will start a new KAL. By popular demand, we have selected this gorgeous cabled poncho from Bergere. We will be working on this kal January - March. This is quite an undertaking and will be fun to knit with a group. You do not have to be "in-town" to participate. We will keep in touch on Ravelry, Facebook, Twitter, and on our web-site where we can share pictures of our progress.
We have selected several different yarns in the correct weight of 16 gauge. These choices will give you different price ranges to choose from. The yarn will be ordered on November 1st, 2013, to ensure time for the yarn to arrive in the store and get it distributed so we can all cast on together on January 1st. Yes, you will need to do a gauge swatch prior to beginning the project.
The 4 types of yarn we will be using are:
The pattern has 2 sizes, Small/Medium requiring 1479 yards and Large/X-Large requiring 1740 yards.
The yarn and pattern is as follows:
FYI - Molly is knitting the shop sample using Bergere Magic+, the original yarn for the pattern. Phyllis is knitting hers in Cascade Greenland.
